rally gauges going full scale

my rally gauges (temp, oil pressure, fuel) occasionally and rapidly go full scale at the same time. They only stay there there for a few seconds, then gradually fall to the normal readings. Any troubleshooting ideas? Thanks

Sounds like the voltage limiter on the rear of the gauges is going bad. Don't run the gauges this way or they will burn out.
