Hey guys and ladies Im will pop in from time to time but do to the illness of my loving wife-Laurie- I will be to busy tending to her needs. Life has crashed down on us. We are in the process of adopting our grandson and my wife was told she has a mass on her brain. This has crushed me. Life as I know it will never be the same. Please keep my family is prayers if you could. My strength is in the LORD,He will never leave me nor forsake me. Thanks to all of you who have helped me on my car. This is one of the best car forums on line. God bless David

David, Sue and I will be praying for Laurie, you and your family. There may be good news for you though. My wife Sue has gone through three brain tumor resections in the past. Sue's tumor was on the front of the left lobe, near the outside of the brain. She was fist diagnosed in Oct 1997. Went under the knife on Nov 1 1997. Following surgery , a scan was done , only to find out that they didn't get it all. Back under the knife she went in Dec 1997, this time with an awake crainiotomy, as not to disturb vital areas. All was good untill Fall of 2001, when a scheduled scan fond the return of tumor. In March 2002 , Sue had her last surgery. She did have to take radiation and chemo on the last go round. The reason I tell you all of this is because miracles CAN happen !! Sue has been cancer free now for over 12 years. Praise the Lord. If you or Laurie need more support or perhaps some questions answered, You can PM me for our phone number. Meanwhile, you all will certainly be in our prayers. May GOD hold all of you in the palm of his hand.

That's an amazing story Mitch! I'll pray for the same good fortune for Laurie, you and all that are in her life.

David.
Thoughts, prayers and good luck to your family. After I (and my two daughters through DNA testing positive) was diagnosed with hereditary heart failure (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, HCM) almost 4 years ago the best drug for me has been "time". I hope the "time" drug works as well for you as it has for me and my family. We are all praying things will be much better as time goes on. I hope I am not speaking out of turn but I would like to share one thing from our family's crash on life 4 years ago. The one thing I would like to share from my experience is you got to be your own advocate. Learn everything you can about what is going on with Laurie. Ask a lot of questions. I learned way more than I wish I ever wanted to know about HCM via internet and the HCMA. I hope I'm not speaking out of turn again by saying if your not satisfied with your current care, seek someone else. The medical field is big "business".
Hope you don't mind me sharing my 2 cents from our families bombshell experience from 4 years ago but I just wanted to pass it along.
Positive thoughts and God bless Laurie, you and your family.

operation was blessed, took 90% of tumor out.The doctor was worried if he removed the 10% it would do damage. The doctor believes its cancer we will find out on friday the 8th. This has reminded me we are not guaranteed tomorrow. My wife is in good spirits and they are talking about letting her go home Monday. Thanks again for your prayers.
