Looks like the heater control is out of a 1970 Challenger with the standard dash.

ding ding ding ding ding...... we have a winner. 70 it is. its what was in the car when it came in. so it went back in. it can be changed anytime so its no biggie. its gotta have one but it'll be ok for now. good eye.

I saw the same thing. Also appeared to be left "as is". Surface is not restored to match the piece on the right.

just too easy to get one thats right later to warrant working this one that hard. and someone else may need this one later.

there are several issues with parts on this car. but thankfully they are all correctable. and available. thanks alot for the comments guys. big motivation for me every time. huge.

After all you do have the red and white thing going on with it like his shirt.

Now back to the regularly scheduled build.
 
well, today is a big day y'all. gonna fire the motor. get her under her own power. good thing too. shes a heavy somebody now.
 
Just went through your post cool car I have had 72 for 20 years I'm restoring it now hope it turns out this nice!!!!
