WIW 1970 Factory OEM Go-Wing Setup

I've been looking for an original Go-Wing (rear spoiler) for a 1970 Barracuda genuine J81 car. I found one on Craigslist a few days ago in Southern California, but the guy wanted $1800 for the full trunk lid with factory spoiler and hardware. It appeared to be sun-damaged and faded on top, but would have cleaned up nicely, but $1800? Ouch, that hurts. It was partially disassembled for pictures, and I recall seeing several Chrysler part numbers on the parts.

I might recommend a nice repop before paying out $1800 for an original.

When I followed up, the next day, he said it sold. The post has been deleted. I'm not sure if it was a hoax or what.

I need some perspective. Was $1800 far out of line?

I sold a nice original for $375 about 2 years ago. Original spoilers seemed to hold in the $400-450 range for a long while. I’m sure they’ve crept up recently but I would think 500-700 should be attainable with some looking.
