I Have a 1970 Cuda with factory AC; However, the AC wiring harness was gone at purchase. So I got a Factory E Body Cuda AC wiring harness and most connectivity is plug and play. But the end of the harness at the resistor hookup end has a DGRN and a Light green 2 connector plug. Looked a wiring diagrams and can't figure where these goes for connection to main harness?

Can anyone help me please?

Here's some pictures of my original harness connected to the AC/heater switch and the terminals that go to the AC/Heater blower motor resistor. I'll try to look further next chance I get.

thank you 71RT383 ,the 2 wire tan piggys of the 1 wire tan wire. Must be for defrost.

Hey Dave,

I see what is the issue. This first picture is a normal non a/c wiring setup. The dash harness has an insertion wiring connection between C1-14BK* and C1A-14BK*.

View attachment 42196

For the A/C wiring, disconnect C1-14BK* and C1A-14BK*. The A/C sub harness dual tan connector C7-14T and C7A-14T plugs into C1A-14BK*.

Further away from the A/C controls, there is the CIC-14BK* on the A/C sub harness that plugs into C1-14BK*

I edited the schematics to show where these connections are.

Hope that helps.

Here is the "mystery cable" connector (light green and dark green)
end of AC cable harness connector.jpeg
that is at the end of the AC Harness just before the BLOWER RESISTOR Plugs, it comes off the harness about 8 inches from that end resistor plug into the AC box at the passengers feet area.
Please help!! What does this connect to?.....

The pictured air conditioning (AC) sub-harness two-terminal connector with light green and dark green wires connects to the main harness wiring from the blower switch.

The connection is shown in the highlighted diagram in post #2, but is also shown in the specific AC electrical control diagram in the following image:

The following image shows the two terminal connector mate for the AC sub harness blower resistor connection from the main harness:

The following image shows the wiring branch from the main harness to that connector:

The following image shows the blower switch end of that wiring:

On a non-AC car, the two terminal connector from the main harness connects directly to the standard heater blower resistor block. In an AC car, the AC sub harness connects to this main harness two terminal connection instead, and then connects to the different AC/heater blower resistor block.

Appreciate this info...So as I read this can I say that this connector is unused on an AC Car and I can just tuck it away under dash?

The two (female) terminal connector with the black insulator and light green plus dark green wires from the main dash harness (shown in the second and third pictures I posted) must be connected to the mating two (male) terminal connector with the grey insulator and light green plus dark green wires in the AC sub-harness in your picture.

This connects the dash switch for the fan blower to the AC sub-harness that leads to the the resistor block to power the blower and switch speeds of it.

The wire and connector in the main harness is used on both AC and non-AC cars. The AC wiring sub-harness adapts the wire from the main harness to interface and bring in other connections for the AC style fan blower motor resistor block.

Great info again and thanks; but where would I find this black (female) terminal connector with the black insulator and light green plus dark green wires from the main dash harness? This grey connector in my picture is way over by the blower resistor box connector by the passenger feet area. You can see how short that pigtail is and it would not reach over to the main harness at the steering column area...

The two (female) terminal connector with the black insulator and light green plus dark green wires from the main dash harness is shown in my second wiring picture of the previous post. The original wiring is routed from the main harness, along with a second branch group that connects to the right door jamb light switch, up over the glove box, dropping down the right side of the box. If the wiring isn't there, it has been moved, tucked away somewhere, cut off, otherwise modified, or it is an incorrect wiring harness.

The following diagram shows the wire routing with the connection of the AC sub-harness to the main harness connector circled:

The following image shows an entire 1970 E-body dash wiring harness, minus the AC sub-harness, showing the long wire group that connects to the sub harness, circled at the connector:
