Just wonder how common this was in a 70 challenger

Pretty common and one of my favorites. B5 always was and still trmains a very popular color.

My 70 Challenger is originally B5 blue. I love this color also. It has had one repaint back to its original B5. Looks a little lighter to me but i am happy with it. Seems to be several different shades of B5. Depending who mixes or sprays it.

there arwe 2 B5 Blue codes , EB5 69 & GB5 71 , the later is slightly darker
