I have a '70 Challenger 440. The sending unit has a 1/4" return line and 3/8" fuel line. Does it matter which line the ground strap is on for things to work correctly? Thanks

Sounds like Leo and Matt have differing opinions. Thanks for your help though.

Your strap is for the sending unit to get a ground so it can work. The sending unit is on the opposite end of the main fuel outlet line. The factory put the strap on it so that it would get the best possible ground.

All I can see is that he didn't understand what metal to metal you meant ( 1/4 or 3/8 line). The ground strap is too large to clip onto the 1/4 line. Everyone said the same thing differently.

You know once you get under there to do it you'll find that there's really only one way that it goes on correctly and it'll be obvious.
