Today my son has come of age and by that I mean he has chosen his first Project car lol
We finally pulled the trigger on my neighbors 70 cuda plum crazy 4 speed. Originally a 340 Really solid car. Engine bay sprayed about 94'. 340 is long gone. We have the 383 that came out of my RR so that will go into it until I can build him a new 340.

Was able to match up the numbers from the vin to the ones on the radiator and cowl. Only issue is the fender tag is long gone so I don't have any other info on what came with it.
Our plan is black and white interior. Plum will stay.

Welcome! That VIN shows your Cuda was built later in the model year. I will narrow it down but I would guess in late-May to early-June.
Have you searched for a broadcast sheet?
Do you have any other documentation, e.g. dealer invoice, window sticker, etc.?

Great project car! You found the car I have been searching for, a 70 340 Cuda, missing the original engine, since I have an extra 340 from a 70 Cuda that got scrapped, plus lots of other parts for a 70 Cuda, accumulated from owning a 70 340 Cuda for 40+ years. I hope to be as lucky as you in my search!
It looks like you are in California, like me. Where are you located?

Congrats on the purchase and I am glad your son chose it as a project. Gotta get more kids interested in E bodies and keep the tradition alive!
