Well i'm assuming its the accelerator pump...just rebuilt the carb..once started everything seems to work ok, no big hesitations like there's no pump but getting it started is where I have the issues...I can't get anything to come through the squirters, its like there's no fuel there....carb is the original on my 70 340

it could be blocked with varnish if it has been sitting or the leather seal for the pump could be hard again if it has been sitting , . As you are finding out starting the car without the accelerator pump is virtually impossible. You need to get iside & check it out
