Hello everyone. My name is John. I'm new to this board but just rejoining the hobby after 10 years off. My last car was a 71 cuda 383 4sp Tx9. I just picked up a 70 u-code cuda that fell victim to hurricane Sandy. She took water up to the bottom of the dash. The person that sold it to me was on it from day one flushing it with fresh water. He did not have the means to bring it back. My son, friends and myself will. Here are the details about the car.
Car was in # 2 condition before the storm.
Complete drive train is numbers matching. Dana-354, 4sp, 440 ,black on black with red hockey stripe.
2 build sheets, 74,000 original documented miles 1 repaint. No repo stuff on this car.
Elastomeric fr and rr bumpers. An original shaker hood (not a n96 car though-he gave me the bubble hood!as well)
Also has a date coded six-pac set up now (also gave me the original manifold and carter avs!)
So those are the only two added options. Everything else lines up with the build Sheet.
I am removing the entire interior and drive train and will spend the winter scrubbing, treating and rebuilding everything.
I look forward to any advice and also giving it. Happy holidays. John T
