You mean with a mopar pick up or something like a petronix unit?

With a mopar pick up. I have an 50s vintage, flat head, straight six, and was considering the pertronix for this application. I like the availability of Mopar parts but would the conversion to Mopar ignition be worthwhile vs the pertronix?

Pertronix would be much easier and will only have one wire coming out, the Mopar might have to drill the wire hole and adapt the advance plate, then you have to add a control box and wiring, prob a 6v system in there now also? Everyone I know that did the petronix loves them only know of one failure, but the part was bought a few years before installation, and the company actually replaced it! That speaks a lot about them. Why do you want to go electronic for? Just piece of mind? I was just thinking your advance plate has a tab for the wire terminal outside the housing?
