Newer Challenger Advice

Especially since the gas pedal switched from a mechanical link to "drive by wire" in the newer vehicles!
This still bothers me! I might have to look into this. I'm not a Theoretical Nuclear-Particle Physics Astrophysicist. But how do stop a charging Elephant. Answer: You don't you get out of it's way if you not the target. I know about the twisted wires purpose. Something is not right. I rather have a mechanical connection. It's one thing to fix. It's ok and working or it's hanging up or broke.

Update on the son's 2015 Challenger. On May 7th as he was leaving my house to go to his new (for him) home, he was hit in the side by a Sheriff Deputy! Unbelievably they cited my son for a failure to yield the right away even though he was trying to get to a flat wide spot of the road on the lefthand side. POS deputy (sorry to all LEOs on this sight) lied and said my son pulled to the right and slowed down. To the right is a narrow shoulder full of six inch deep ruts where any sane person would not pull a 2015 Challenger Scat Pack into! On September 30 (Yeah, 4 and a half miserable months later) our insurance totalled the car! 😡

It's hard to recover from a triple hit. We have all been there in some form at some time. But we made it! I know it hard to just say it a car. there are other things of greater value.
As far as the collision. Passenger side hits a driver's door. Just doesn't look right. Someone was trying to get around when they should have waited. That's what it looks like, but I don't know all the facts.
A driver of any car can make a split seconded discission that could be good or bad. You only have control of your actions. Good habits bring good luck bad habits bring bad luck.
Sorry about you luck

It's my understanding that an emergency vehicle cannot take the right away from you. Thought about fighting it in court, but figured I'd wind up in jail if not prison!
We figured my son lost about $15,000. Money out the door. Definitely a hard lesson to learn. Fortunately there is a small upside to the whole mess. When we confirmed with a second body shop that the car was totalled on September 30, I actually found a twin to his 2015 Challenger Scat Pack. He paid cash this time! We added some extras ( Hellcat wheels with 275/40-20 Cooper Cobra Instincts - made in USA, front strut tower brace and K&N CAI) to make it more like the first one. Actually, I like this one better. It has the Harmon Kardon factory stereo system option!

That happened on a job site I was working. EV hit a construction vehicle.
EV found at fault.
No matter what EV does, does not make it right! It's on the driver.
That's why I stated the below. EV speed more than likely greater than any motorist in front of it. Motorist needs time to react to an overcoming vehicle.
The EV drivers skill and training should be better than the average motorist.
To protect and serve the public.
Just doesn't look right. Someone was trying to get around when they should have waited.

Maybe retain a Lawyer and let them handle it. They no how to stay out of jail.
It might be 2 years from date that you can seek damages. Think about it.
