Today was the first start up of my 2020 challenger 392 engine in my 71 challenger body. I had changed out the valve in the ps pump to reduce the pressure, but on first start up it dumped fluid all over the place. Lost half a quart in 20 seconds of run time, seems to have come out of the top seal on the box where the adjuster is.
Need some advice, Will the Borgeson box fit with the 392 with TTI headers? Or would I be better off rebuilding/replacing the stock box?
Thanks in advance

Should do mine fit's with Blackheart hooker borgenson B body road runner cut the adjusted down about 10mm & put a new adjuster slot in it with a slitting blade passed the enginners inspection same engine bay & k Frame as challenger someone put this up the other day do you have a pic of the front L/H pipe

Was at a Mopar show in June where a guy with a 392 in a 70 Challenger used a button head bolt on that corner of the Borgeson box and it cleared. I should have taken a pic...

Good info, would have done that if I'd known at the time.
Impossible to get headers off in the car, engine has to come out, or at least lifted quit a bit. I actually put the headers on while it was on engine stand, and even then is was a PIA. Wonder if they have those button head bolts with a flange. Adding a washer would make it higher.
It's definitely a tight fit. I considered added a shim under the motor mount, but that would rotate the whole assembly slightly.
The speedo cable for the 518 is already in a spot with zero room.
Whole thing is a house of cards balancing act.
Not perfect, but it's been a driving dream for 4yrs now.

What mounts are you guys using?
I am using the Holly mounts (long story). With these mounts I had to notch the drivers mount to get the TTI headers to fit, the add 3/8 spacer to the mount to raise the engine a bit to get the headers to clear the stock steering box. Switching to the Bergman box required me to shave the bolt head as described in above thread, then beat the ever living daylights out of the #1 tube in the header just to get the engine to sit on the mount.
Not pretty but it’s in. Hope the proximity to the header doesn’t cause problem with steering box gaskets and seals fail
Live and learn, I would suggest using the TTI motor mounts
I bought the Holly mounts, trans mount and was in the process of buying the Blackheart headers which Holly promoted heavily as their solution to the Gen 3 hemi swap kit. Then Holly pulled the plug and stopped selling the headers. My first option was to buy the Doug’s headers, which they said fit but didn’t even come close to clearing the torsion bars, brand new set, ended up trashing them and bought the TTI headers. They clear the torsion bars but had to notch the Holly mounts, no worries, they are in. I think the Holly mounts set the engine about half inch lower than the TTI mounts, which I think is the source of my clearance issues.

If they are making these pipes for conversions i dont know why they cant bring the no1 pipe out then straight back I had the same problem in my 72 B body ,the Hooker pipes have the same issue .

Damn, you guys are having some real clearance issues! I did my swap back in about 2008-2009 and used the TTI mount brackets and headers with the factory power steering box and had no clearance issues at all! It seems the Holley stuff causes a lot of headaches.
