Finally have a chance to post a few pix. New AMD metal going on, the metal guy says even these don't quite fit right and need lots of tweaks, stretching and shrinking. It's just a 318, 4 speed car, but came with R/T hood, grill, exhaust etc. so going to be a clone. Anyone have experience with the 408 small block stroker motors available through Jeg's etc.?

I put AMD quarters an my 71 Barracuda. Was very impressed with the fit, really only had problems with the fit up with the new deck filler panel. Even that was very minor. Rod

Those stroker 408s are from Blueprint Engines.
A lot of people rag on them, but I put one of their 383 Chevy strokers in my old Stingray and it was a BEAST!
Never had ANY problems. .....

Finally, bringing her home...… thought just a trunk pan and tank 2-1/2 years ago, then a 1/4 and dutch panel taillight panel had to be adjusted cuz it'd been hit, then peeled rest of the vinyl off and could see the floor through both A pillars.... flat plum. Found a date correct 340 motor, at the shop getting .020 bored and then assembled. real T/A 6 pack set up going on top, 4 speed, 3.55 sure grip. Came with R/T hood, exhaust tips etc., I know they didn't make a 340 R/T but it'll be fun (any thoughts on the aftermarket T/A hoods?). Rallye gauges rebuilt and ready to go in. Going to switch to power discs on front. I follow you guys a lot, just not enough time....

Thanks! Motor was fresh so I didn't beat on it but it rips up the rpms pretty quick. Nice and light, no power steering, felt pretty nimble. Had a big block challenger back in the day with power steering and it was sketchy

The 340 small blocks are great motors

Light, strong, high revving.

Looking good. As mentioned, good seeing another one being saved. I wish I had enough room to store and save them all.
