Finally got some more time to work on the Cuda, The car is really nice but the underside is 43 years old and looks pretty crusty. I pulled the rear end a couple of months ago and got it all cleaned up, It's not a show quality restoration, but I did the best I could with my limited talent to replicate some of the original markings etc... I think the diff Came out ok...

I also decided to paint the underside of the car to match the top, It's an original Plum Crazy car so I scraped and cleaned the best I could and got the rear pretty cleaned up,

I will move onto the front now and repaint and clean it all up and install the freshly rebuilt original 383.

Hopefully in the end it will come out looking pretty good, I will post some more pictures as I progress.

The Vert Is my 66 Satellite.. Just a cruiser...but a dang good one. We drive it all over. 273 2 BBL Auto, Ps, reg drum brakes. Buckets and console. It's a really nice cruiser. Plan on putting a 318 in it with a A500 overdrive.

Back to the Cuda... Got the engine out today. Left it on the floor and picked the car up above it. Don't know if I am going to powder coat or just repaint all the front suspension... Is it really easier this way? At least I didn't have to pull the hood.

I like to R/R from the bottom too. I think it is easier if you leave the tranny on.... The factory certainly didnt have a guy lying under these cars installing trannys & starters; they went in as a unit.
