Glad to see this, have fun with it. I took auto body and auto shop in h.s. that was in the '80s they since did away with those programs here.

are you using etch primer or apoxy, dupont recamends veraprime etch primer for bare metal so you can do the body work over the top of it and will stick just fine and protect the metal from hand prints and moister p.s. having your cuda in shop class makes going to school fun i will bet

It makes it extremely gun exspecialy since im also getting a 100 grade average and workin on it. I have some poxy primer at hand at the shop for it. Just to spray on the bare metal to keep handprints off but i will be cutting and grinding afterward when i het my panels

You can do your body work over apoxy primer as well. but it dose not seem to harden up completely, I found it to gum up the sandpaper plus dupont dose not offer an apoxe primer to use that way that i am aware of P.S. Are you staying with the original hood or the twin scoop hood. mopar had some of the sharpest hood's

No pictures right this moment but ive been sand blasting and hve ordered my trunk extensions. Puttin some epoxy on all the bare metal tommarow. Havnt had a lot of shop time we had a substiute and had to sit in class. Got the license plate holder and hinges painted. Stripping the rest of the engine bay and dash board this week then me and dad ganna get a little fabrication going. Building a rotisserie out of two 1000lb engine stands

A rotisserie is the way to go! when you build it i would suggest trying to find some wheels and spindle's from a small trailer or some thing with an 8 inch or so tire so you can move it out side or even trailer or flat bed the car if needed . and if you could make the wheels swivel on one end it would make things even easyer to use. just a thought

What I had planed on doing was get two 1000lb engine stands, extend the necks on the stands and strainten the head to 90 degrees. custom make some plates to bolt from the stand to the bumper holes in the frame rails. extend the wheels out to make it stable brace it with steel square tubing and run a piece of square tubing in the middle to connect the two.

what is the game plan for the left door, new skin or cut out the rust and make patches and repair the skin

both doors have a lot of rust on the bottoms. I have a lot of scrap sheet metal and the rust stops just above the body line so I will be cutting the bottom out and using the sheet metal machine to bend it the way I want and weld it up
