The roof is in rough shape around the drip rails. Ive been making custom patches out of sheet metal to weld in. Doors are almost done and fenders. Once they are done they will go back on the car to fit. It will be a while before it has any base on it.

Nice work! Its good to see another '73 being restored. My 73 project was/is more of a rust bucket than yours! She sat under a pine tree in new jersey for most of the 80s. I'm still pulling pine needles out of her

YOU are so far ahead of where I am. Be glad your grandad was smart and bought a cool car that appreciated in value. I paid good money for a worse car. Nice work.

Just caught this post...nice job!!
my 2 cents is before you are all done with final prep is that you buy some frame rail connectors from US Tool and weld them in.
I restored a 74 Challenger 11 years ago and 3 years later there was a small hairline crack on the seem of the rear roof pillar (where it factory welds just above the quarter panel)...I figure it came from a bit of flex when driving.....its a factory 318 car so it wasnt over powered
Even adding torque boxes will be a better way to go....wish I did the rail and boxes when I was welding in the floors

Enjoy the ride with a wide smile!!!
